Marcelo Burlon started his own label ‘County Of Milan’ in 2012 after working for a number off supreme brands within the fashion industry such as Alexander McQueen, Raf Simons and Gucci. Not only does the brand supply high end garments, but it has began to branch out into PR- specialising in event organisation and DJing. Today, Burlon has over 250 international stockist in which YSM Is proud to be apart of.
For Pre-Fall 2019, it can be seen that there is a sequence of vibrant and artistic designs; a factor shown throughout the brands existing collections. Influenced by abandoned amusement parks, Burlon offers an array of alternative items with their own urban twist. The ghost house is one aspect that sticks out from the rest. With a gloomy theme, the garment has “Just for fun” at an upturned angle, in white embroidery. On the back, there is a chilling configuration of a dark house with an eery presence. Below, the words “County Of Milan” lay with a cinematic serif theme, giving the original a ghostly make-over.
However, if the movies have taught us anything its that not all ghosts are scary - Just look at Casper, right? On a colour block t-shirt canvas, a small monochrome comic is printed on the chest. Following the narrative “how to make your ghost costume”, the comical illustration has a step-by-step guide to creating just that. With hand drawn imagery, the tee has a light hearted take on a somewhat ghoulish range. Crafted from 100% cotton, the ribbed neck top will be available online and in-store at YSM in the near future.
Going back to his old roots, the wings t-shirt, inspired by both club culture and his native Patagonia, is persistent in each collection and the Pre-Fall 2019 one is not excused. Released in new exotic bright colours, the apparel has the same beautiful motif with intensive attention to detail. YSM will be merchandising a variety of products from the range, and we cant wait to share them with you.
For the time being, the Marcelo Burlon Spring/Summer 2019 range is available to shop now both online and in-store. Moreover, there is an amazing 40% off (or further) on all sale items, so make sure to check it out before its over!
